Terms & Conditions

Claria is owned by VARIO LABS SpA.

Version 2026-10-05. The version you accepted when creating your channel is recorded with its date, and earlier versions are available on request.

These terms are the agreement between your organization and the company that owns Claria for the use of the service. Read them together with the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

Who we are and what these terms cover

Claria is an alert and reporting channel offered as a service. The company that owns Claria is named at the top of this page. In these terms, "we" means that company, and "you" means the organization that creates a channel and the people it authorizes to act for it.

The agreement is made up of these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement. If they disagree on a matter of personal data, the Data Processing Agreement prevails; on anything else, these terms prevail.

You accept the agreement when you tick the acceptance box while creating your channel. We record which version of each document you accepted and when. Whoever accepts confirms that they are authorized to do so on behalf of the organization.

The service

Claria gives your organization a portal where people can send reports, with or without identifying themselves according to the policies you set, and a panel where your team receives, organizes, investigates and answers those reports. The portal shows that it runs on Claria.

Claria is software, not legal advice. Jurisdiction profiles, suggested deadlines, templates and example settings are recommendations that you must verify for your own situation. We do not promise that using Claria makes your organization meet any legal obligation, and we do not promise any outcome of an investigation.

Some capabilities described on this site are marked as planned or as design objectives. They are not part of the service until we tell you they are in force.

Your account and your team

You must give accurate information about your organization and keep it up to date. You decide who joins your channel, which role each person has and whether a second sign-in step is required. You are responsible for what the people you invite do in your channel and for keeping their access secure.

Tell us as soon as possible if you believe an account or your channel has been accessed without permission.

Your responsibilities

  • Use Claria only for lawful purposes and in line with the rules that apply to you, including labor, criminal and data protection rules.
  • Define your own policies: which situations can be reported, whether a report may be anonymous, how your team investigates, which deadlines apply and for how long you keep cases. Claria applies the settings you choose.
  • Inform the people who may use your portal about how your channel works and about their rights, including a privacy notice for your portal.
  • Decide on your own what to do with each report. Investigations, measures, communications with authorities and legal deadlines are your responsibility.
  • Export your data when you need it, and before you close your channel.

Acceptable use

You may not use Claria to attack, overload or probe the service or other organizations' channels, to send unlawful or harmful content, to impersonate someone, to reverse engineer the software, or to resell the service without our written agreement. You may not use it to monitor or profile the people who report in a way that goes against your own policies or the law.

If we detect misuse or a security risk, we may limit or suspend the affected access. Where possible we notify you first and lift the measure as soon as the issue is resolved. Receiving reports through your portal is not interrupted by plan limits.

Plans, payment and taxes

Free has no charge and does not require a payment method. Pro is paid monthly or annually, in advance, and renews automatically until you cancel. The price in force, the currency and the payment provider depend on the billing country you declare, and are shown before you pay. Prices are shown before taxes; the applicable tax is added at checkout.

Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. Card details are entered with that provider and do not reach Claria. Depending on the country, the tax document is issued by us or by the payment provider acting as the seller of record.

If a charge fails, the provider retries it and we notify you. If payment is not resolved, Pro features may be paused: your panel stays readable, your data stays exportable, your portal keeps receiving reports and nothing is deleted. After further notice, we may move your channel to Free.

You can cancel Pro at any time; it stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the renewal they apply to. Refunds are handled case by case; the refund policy is pending publication.

Changing plans

Going from Pro to Free does not delete data. What is no longer included becomes read-only: you choose which two users remain active, your custom flows and conduct types stay visible, existing attachments remain readable and exportable, and new reports use the default flow. Going back to Pro reactivates what you choose.

Your content and our software

The reports, messages, attachments and settings in your channel are yours. We process them only to provide the service, under the Data Processing Agreement, and we do not sell them. The software, the brand and this site are ours; you receive a non-exclusive right to use the service while the agreement lasts.

We may use technical information about how the service is used, without report content and without identifying people, to operate, secure and improve Claria. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation.

Confidentiality

Each of us keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for this agreement. This does not cover information that is public, that was already known, or that must be disclosed by law. The content of your channel is covered by the Data Processing Agreement.

Availability, support and changes

We work to keep the service available and we tell you about planned maintenance in advance when we can, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may improve or change the service; if a change removes something important, we give you notice.

Support is provided through the contact channel published on this site. We do not promise response times on Free.

We may update these terms. For material changes we give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the panel before they apply, except when a change is needed for legal or security reasons. If you do not agree, you can end the agreement before the change applies.

Liability

The service is provided as it is described here. Claria is a tool: we are not responsible for the decisions your organization makes, for how it runs its investigations, for the content people send through your portal, or for whether your organization meets its legal obligations.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or reputational harm, and our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Claria at any time by cancelling Pro and closing your channel from the panel. We may end the agreement if you breach it and do not fix the breach after notice, or if we stop offering the service, with at least 90 days' notice. A Free channel with no sign-in for 12 months may be archived after notices; archiving keeps the data.

After the end you have 30 days to export your data. After that we delete it as described in the Data Processing Agreement, except what we must keep by law.

Law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of Chile. Before going to court, each of us agrees to try to resolve any dispute in good faith. Unresolved disputes go to the courts of Santiago, Chile, unless the law that applies to you says otherwise.
